SOULPUNK: A Game of Mutually-Transforming Power

We live in unprecedented and dangerous times. The power of the human intellect has helped our species master the Earth’s environments, design complex machines, travel around the world, reach for the stars, and create global platforms of mass communication.

But, we are also experiencing dystopia-like conditions in many countries, the cost of living is skyrocketing, and people are politically polarized and generally very lonely. Nuclear war is a real possibility again, for the first time since the Cold War.

Where is our promised utopia?

 Ideal for groups looking for an anti-establishment experience with hints of the supernatural, SOULPUNK offers an optimistic and empowering outlook on many of the problems our society considers most pressing. Characters in SOULPUNK are the boundary-pushers, the prank-pullers, the activists, the rogues, and the unofficial social workers.

 Depending on where playgroups want to focus their time, SOULPUNK could either be a game of deep relationships and everyday heroism, or it could be an all-out rage against the machine. Either way, players will be working on the fringes of industrial society, using their wits and a selection of spiritual gifts to accomplish their goals.

 SOULPUNK runs on a d6-based system and a one-page character sheet. It will feel similar to Vampire: The Masquerade and Lacuna Part One, with some aspects of Warhammer 40k as well.

The entire system, including combat, was designed around the feeling of rolling a bunch of dice to determine an outcome, which might feel a bit like Yahtzee. However, the system was streamlined to allow as much focus as possible to shift to the stories, characters, and social events that happen within the game.
